Jiggler / Support

A small helper.
A clear start.

Install Jiggler, connect your account and make it fit your workday.

Install and activate.

  1. Sign in to My products with the account that has Jiggler access. Choose the Windows 11 x64 or Apple Silicon Mac download.
  2. On Windows, extract the ZIP and run Jiggler-Setup.exe. On Mac, extract the ZIP, open Jiggler and choose Install for my Mac account. Installation is for your own desktop account.
  3. Select Sign in with Xidents in Jiggler. In your browser, compare the displayed activation code with the app, then approve the device you started activating.
  4. On Mac, approve Jiggler in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility for mouse activity. Choose your startup preference, then finish setup.

The Mac app is Developer ID signed and notarized. The Windows package currently uses a self-signed Xidents certificate, without public publisher trust. Windows may show an unrecognised-app warning or block installation. Verify the download came from My products, follow your organisation’s policy and contact support if blocked. You do not need to add a root certificate or disable security protections.

Start with the mouse icon.

Look in the Windows system tray or Mac menu bar. Start or pause manually, or set optional work hours and a lunch break. Open Account & updates from that menu to manage access, updates and start at login.

The teal mouse icon indicates running activity; grey indicates a pause or inactive schedule. Red indicates an access or runtime problem, and amber indicates attention such as a connection or permission needed. Read the status text in the menu or tooltip for the exact reason; colour alone does not tell the whole story.

Which laptops are supported?

The current release supports Windows 11 x64 and Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 13 or later. Windows ARM, Windows 10 and Intel Macs are outside the current supported release.

Do I need to set work hours?

No. Manual mode lets you decide when Jiggler runs. Work hours and lunch pauses are optional, using your laptop’s local time. The schedule repeats daily and uses same-day windows.

Will it keep my laptop awake all the time?

Jiggler prevents idle sleep while running with active access and eligible settings. A pause, lunch break, time outside your work hours or an access problem stops activity. You can still choose Sleep yourself. A locked or sleeping desktop suspends mouse activity; Jiggler resumes eligible activity after wake and unlock. It does not guarantee operation with the lid closed or a particular Teams status.

How many devices can I activate?

Your device allowance belongs to your account’s Jiggler access. See the current limit and registered devices in My products. Downloading a package does not use a slot; activating it does. Another operating-system user profile or reinstall may use a separate slot.

How do I replace a device?

Open My products → Jiggler → Manage devices. Remove the old device, then activate its replacement. Removal frees a slot and stops future renewal. An offline device may retain its existing permission until that permission expires.

What happens when I’m offline?

A previously activated device can continue while its stored, signed permission remains valid, for up to seven days after its last successful renewal. A failed connection does not create or extend that permission. Once the offline window ends, Jiggler pauses and asks you to connect to check access. A device that has never activated stays inactive offline; an online confirmation that access has ended or a device was removed also stops activity.

Will Jiggler open a window or notify me every time?

No. Everyday launches and login starts are quiet. Opening a second copy leaves the existing instance running. If access needs attention, Jiggler stays inactive with a status icon and text; open Account & updates when you are ready to resolve it. Initial setup and actions you choose can open a window.

How do updates work?

With valid activation, Jiggler checks quietly about a minute after launch and then daily while it is running. If a check fails, it retries later. You can also choose Check for updates in Account & updates. A check never installs automatically: choose Install and restart when convenient.

Updates verify the signed release information and package, preserve settings and activation, and keep a recovery copy during replacement. If the new app fails its startup health check, the updater restores the previous installation. After an interruption, reopen Jiggler to let it recover; contact support if recovery cannot finish.

Does copying an installer give someone else access?

No. Each device must be approved by an account with valid Jiggler access and an available device slot.
