A quick start

Choose Basic for everyday arithmetic, Scientific for more functions, Time for durations or Bases for BIN, OCT, DEC and HEX calculations.

  • Edit your working: tap the expression to place the cursor or select text. Group adds parentheses around your selection, or the entire expression. Undo restores previous edits.
  • Finish and save: press = to save the calculation and highlight the answer. A digit starts fresh; an operator continues from the answer. Undo brings back your expression.
  • Use it again: open History to find a saved calculation. Choose Edit expression or Use result. Add notes and pins from its actions menu.
  • Work with time: try 2h50m + 30m in Time mode. The answer is 3h20m.

Common questions

Why is my percentage result different from another calculator?

Percentage conventions vary. Check the percentage rule and operation order in Settings. When comparing answers, use the same rules in both calculators.

How do I copy, paste or select part of an expression?

Tap the expression and use its selection controls or the Edit expression menu. Copy the selected result after equals, or select a portion of your working. To paste, tap the expression and choose Paste from the text menu.

How do I delete more than one character?

Press and hold Delete to keep erasing, then release to stop. Use Undo if you remove more than intended.

How do I turn off the keypad vibration?

Open Settings and turn off haptics. Your choice is saved for the next time you open the app.

Why is a scientific answer unexpected?

Check whether the active angle unit is DEG or RAD, and check the operation order. A trigonometric expression can give a different answer when the angle unit changes.

How do I remove a pinned history entry?

Unpin it first, then delete it. Pinned calculations are kept until you choose to unpin and remove them.

Does the calculator need internet access?

Calculations, memory and history work offline. Opening web support pages or sending a support email requires an internet connection.

Can I download the app now?

The first free edition is being prepared for the App Store. The overview page will include a download link once it is available.
