Your calculations stay on your device

Xidents Calc is provided by Xidents. Expressions, entered amounts, calculation history and notes are processed on your device and are not sent by the app to advertising or currency-rate services. No app account is required.

Your current expression, history, memory, preferences, conversion favourites, scientific datasets and named variables, tool inputs and cached rate tables are stored locally. Calculations, physical unit conversions and finance projections work without an internet connection.

Online currency reference rates

Currency, Bitcoin and gold conversions download public daily rate tables from Exchange API through jsDelivr or Cloudflare. These services receive ordinary connection information, including your IP address. Entered amounts and selected currency pairs are not included in requests. The last valid rates and their source date are cached on your device for offline use.

Advertising and privacy choices

Xidents Calc is a free app supported by banner advertising from Google AdMob. Google’s User Messaging Platform manages applicable advertising privacy choices. Ad availability can vary; the calculator remains usable when an ad is unavailable.

Google AdMob and Google’s User Messaging Platform may process IP addresses (including approximate location inferred from them), device or app identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, diagnostics and performance information to deliver, measure and protect advertising services. The app does not send calculation contents for ad targeting.

The Apple and Android apps are configured to request non-personalized ads, with Google’s publisher first-party ID disabled. The Apple app does not request access to Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA) or use cross-app tracking. The Android app removes the permission for Android’s advertising identifier (AAID). Other device or app identifiers and advertising-service data may still be processed as described above. Non-personalized ads still involve data collection for ad delivery, measurement, security and diagnostics as described above.

Where required, the app asks for privacy choices before requesting ads. Settings → Ad privacy choices lets you revisit applicable choices when the consent service requires that entry point. Calculator activities remain available if an ad or privacy request fails. The Apple app does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission. Neither platform requests access to location services; that does not mean advertising services collect no data.

Optional ad removal

Optional ad-removal purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store on iPhone and iPad, and by Google through Google Play on Android, where the purchase is available. The app checks store transaction and entitlement information to determine whether ad removal is active and to restore a purchase for the same account in the same store. Apple and Google purchases are separate and do not transfer between platforms. The app does not receive your payment-card details, and Xidents does not operate a purchase-account server. Refunds or revocations can remove the ad-free entitlement.

When an ad-removal entitlement is confirmed, the app removes the banner area and does not start advertising or request ads on subsequent launches while that entitlement remains active. Advertising already loaded before a purchase is removed from view.

Device storage and backups

On iPhone and iPad, app data may be included in device backups managed by Apple, depending on your settings. You can delete individual history entries in the app; unpin a pinned entry before deleting it. Deleting the app removes its local data. Backup copies are managed through your Apple settings. On Android, automatic app-data cloud backups and device-to-device transfers are disabled by the app. Uninstalling the Android app removes its local app data; exported files remain where you saved them.

You can export history, notes, pins and entry settings as a readable JSON file. The app writes this file only to the destination you choose. A cloud storage provider or recipient handles that copy under its own privacy policy. Deleting history in the app does not delete exported copies. Restore reads the selected file on your device.

Copying, pasting and sharing

Copying or sharing a calculation happens when you choose that action. Pasting uses the text you choose to paste. Information you send to another app or service is handled under that service’s privacy policy.

When you contact support

If you contact support, we use your email address and the information you provide to respond to your enquiry. Please avoid sending sensitive calculations or unnecessary personal information.

You can ask us to delete your support correspondence. Any information we are required to keep will be retained for that purpose.

When you visit this website

The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for basic measurement. If you allow it, Google Analytics measures website visits and page use. You can decline or change your choice using “Privacy choices”. Read the website privacy policy for details.

This website measurement is separate from the native app. Google Analytics for website visits is not embedded in the app. Advertising services have their own measurement practices as described above; the app does not send us your calculations.
